Testing Time!


SV6/Silverlight is getting very close to beta release. I need to implement a handful of StarShip types, multiplayer chat, alliances, and the remaining Brains.

But multiplayer functionality is in place and looking solid. I need some help testing the development version while I wrap up the rest of the work and release the beta.

I will be logged in usually in the mornings around 9 or 10 CST and hope to see some of the old gang online to help in the testing effort. Help me perfect the best version of SV yet!

Update: All Ship Types are implemented! And AliceH3 is online. Just need to complete alliances, multiplayer chat, UDOs, Rendering hooks, and the more advanced Brains and Scenarios.

I was playing a game with Arnos, and it froze mid-game. I couldn't determine a reason.

Also, when you are in the build menu of a battlestation, and your battlestation is hijacked... You can actually build ships for the enemy. I know this isn't really beneficial? But it still should never happen.

You know, TinyBlitz and AliceH3 don't build ships in 20/1000 Double Cluster. I'm not sure why. Can you check it out?

I have a feeling it might have to do with the fact that both brains do not explicitly list six starship types. AliceH3 only lists three, and I think TinyBlitz doesn't list any at all but assumes the default, which is the first six.

I also saw that TinyBlitz did not build any starship at all with 100 resources in FarCaps. All it did was build shields..

This new version runs better than SV5, and the bugs that lurked in SV5 (e.g. Ghost Ships) are no longer present in SV6!

Anyways, just released the new version of Stratego 4 (v4.5.1) with a load of new features and fixes! ST4 now operates much more organized and smoother than the previous versions I have made. Can't wait to play it on multiplayer!

On your list of to-do's please don't forget pausing during single player games, brain duels, and saving!

Just wanted to tell you guys that I would not be able to test SV6 during this weekend due to a camping trip. I will be back on next tuesday on the 18th.
